About Me
"Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go" - T.S. Elliot
My name is Lauren Sawyer and through this webpage, I hope to introduce you to the inner workings of my mind. I am currently a senior at Hamilton Southeastern High School and am fusing my academic journey with the things I am passionate about - photography, music, helping others, and most importantly, innovative thinking. This website is a glimpse into my passions, my innovative projects, and my hopes for the future.
What I'm Involved In
4-H / 2007-present
4-H has been a pivotal part of my life for ten years and I have had the opportunity to be involved with a wide range of activities, including photography, the Junior Leaders initiative, Llama showmanship, fine arts, veterinary science, and dog training. HSE Key Club / 2014-present
Throughout my high-school career, I have had opportunity to become part of a volunteer-based community that works alongside organizations, such as Conner Prairie, the YMCA, and Riley Children's Hospital. Olio Road Productions / 2017
During my senior year, I combined my love of music and film by joining the sound department of HSE's student-run film company. Each year, Olio Road Productions directs a self-produced feature film which is shown to students, as well as local Fishers residents. This organization has not only introduced me to the logistics of filmmaking, but has been a way of developing close friendships with many other talented people. |
